Meet the leaders of the theresa’s battleship foundation
Lisa Fitzpatrick | President and Founder
Lisa Barry Fitzpatrick, originally from Wethersfield, CT, graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1982, and Western New England College School of Law in 1986. For over 20 years, she practiced law in the City of Meriden.
Lisa is a former Board member of The Cheshire Education Foundation, Inc, which is a non-profit foundation committed to the improvement of educational opportunities for the children in the Cheshire Public Schools. Additionally, she was the head of the committee which evaluated and presented grant applications and made recommendations to the entire Board. Lisa is the founding member of the Theresa's Battleship Foundation, in memory of her daughter, Theresa. She currently resides in Cheshire, CT, with her husband Paul and son Joseph lives in Brooklyn, NY. In her free time, Lisa enjoys golf, the shore in Rhode Island and winters in Vermont.
Alexis Sansone | Vice President
Alexis Sansone is a New York based Visual Effects Supervisor, originally from Cheshire, CT. She graduated from Hofstra University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production and Minor in Fine Arts with a concentration in Animation. Following college, she began working for a Visual Effects studio in New York City, PhospheneFX. While with PhospheneFX, Alexis has worked on several feature films and long form television series for studios such as Warner Brothers, Amazon, HBO, Netflix and Hulu. In her free time she enjoys baking, hiking, traveling and hitting any local ice cream shop.
Taylor Strange | Treasurer
Taylor Strange is a doctoral student at the University of Mississippi pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2018 with a Masters of Arts degree in Community Psychology and from Quinnipiac University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. She enjoys eating giant soft pretzels and dipping food in queso.
Kelly Rosadino | Secretary
Kelly Rosadino is an Account Executive for Dell Technologies and resides in New York City. Her past 12 years of involvement with Best Buddies, an organization geared towards uniting people with and without disabilities, combined with her passion to share Theresa’s story and carry out her legacy, has brought people together from all over the world through social events. When she’s not traveling or nannying, she can be caught rating espresso martinis & savoring all the Italian eats lower Manhattan has to offer.
Joe Fitzpatrick | Board Member
Joe Fitzpatrick is a medical social worker with NYC Health and Hospitals, the largest public health care system in the United States. He currently works at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, where he also resides. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and from Union College in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. He specializes in public health advocacy and providing therapeutic support to people living with HIV/AIDS and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.
Maria Blois | Board Member
Maria Blois is a Registered Nurse who resides in Michigan and works for the University of Michigan health system. She loves to travel and her favorite food is a tie between Mexican and Hibachi. She spends most of her free time with her two dogs; Ace and Indie
David Gomes | Board Member
David Gomes is a Product Strategist at Express Scripts, a subsidiary of Cigna and one of the nation's leading pharmacy benefit management companies serving more than 112 million Americans. David has worked at Cigna for over seven years, holding various leadership roles as a graduate of Cigna's Marketing Leadership Development Program.
David holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Central Connecticut State University and earned his MBA from the University of Hartford.
David is an Eagle Scout who stays actively engaged in the local community. David enjoys being active and playing 'mediocre' golf in his free time.
Jake Scinto | Board Member
Jake Scinto works as a Data Engineer for Clover Health and lives in San Francisco, CA. He graduated from Princeton University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Clover is a health insurance company focused on leveraging data and technology to deliver equitable and preventative healthcare. For the past 5+ years Jake has helped build out the data infrastructure and analytics platform for Clover’s internal medical practice as well as numerous other business areas, helping Clover go public in 2021.
In his free time Jake can usually be found on a softball field, a soccer pitch, looking for his golf ball in the woods, or tumbling down the ski slopes.
Haley Payne | Board Member
Haley Payne is a UConn Graduate who currently resides in Boston. She is an oncology nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, and also works partime as a clinical abstractor to collect research data for cancer patients. Her favorite activities include going to Trader Joe’s, and traveling.
